Re: Up Mini 2 board mod
If you want to keep the extruder but replace the main board, maybe this could be a cheaper solution?

(Its pictured at the hotend, but I made it for the other end, worked well for using with a Duet2Maestro in my up mini 2)

Re: up300 with external slicer
Maybe the new slicer will generate "up-code" that works? No idea why I'm suddenly an optimist..

Re: Up! Mini 2 + Duet electronics! (Linear rails and real hotbed!)
smd的pcb上的相当不错,但一个in the metal casing is pos :( ... I opened few (one original that came with upplus2 and one that I got from e3d) and inside the metal case is a pt100 sensor in 1/8W resistor case insulated inside fiber/silicone shroud so the accuracy is terrible (th...

Re: UP! Mini x axis.....
Had the same issue on my X axis (although only about 1cm on x-axis), contacted support and was told to print a part to offset the extruder .. obviously I turned to local vendor instead of Tiertime.. But to answer; there isn't a whole lot to do apart from moving the limit switches as these are what s...

Re: Up! Mini 2 + Duet electronics! (Linear rails and real hotbed!)
Can you share the STL/STEP for the board mounting? https://a360.co/2wpTgSG That is AS-IS; and its not very stiff, but it was the quick and easy method that would be small enough to print on the Up Mini 2. However the full fusion project is available if you want to make changes. I was planing on try...

Need to make an adjustment and do a test print, but I'll hopefully get around to it soon ish. Picture had a flaw, but will redo it as well

Re: X Idler broke.
Haha, body doesn't agree with coffee, that's why I used a national vendor (EU), as we have insane consumer protection (and prices to match) ... but after they agreed to replace the whole thing they just disappeared. Anyways, found resonance to be slop in the support of linear rails or the bushings. ...

Re: X Idler broke.
If Tiertime had addressed the excessive noise when I first received the printer I would probably have shared your experience, but clearly not assembled right leading to resonance and premature failure. The only reason it buggs me is that I tried having it fixed before it failed, and when it failed i...

Re: Up! Mini 2 + Duet electronics! (Linear rails and real hotbed!)
I decided to see what was possible with as little modifications to the original parts as possible. Straight up replacing a part is easy to reverse and in the event of problems the printer could be put back into stock configuration with ease for warranty repairs despite the rather intrusive upgrade. ...

Re: err code: 021; can´t save data to sd card
Not familiar with the old mini, but are you sure there isn't a sd card on the main board which is not normally accessible to the user?

Re: Up! Mini 2 + Duet electronics! (Linear rails and real hotbed!)
Its been a long journey, but its over now. Payment provider accepted my claim for all the defects and issued a full refund. Printer is now restored to original condition and awaiting vendor to collect it. I might edit some of the posts and add some bits and pieces over time, but all in all, this thr...

Re: X Idler broke.
For once crossing fingers actually help. Several months after filing a claim with the payment provider I was today issued a full refund for the printer. Guess I'll just wait for the new spares, install them and send it back to the vendor. So long, and thanks for all the fish. In the end they did sen...

Re: X Idler broke.
Oh well, keeping the champange on ice a little while longer. Received 1 piece injection molded carrier on the z-axis. No belt, no pulley, no linear shafts or bearings. (The latter two I would replace for good measure to account for excessive wear while having printed missaligned as the fault develop...

Re: X Idler broke.
Doesn't matter I cant seem to isolate what is causing the resonance, and then it'll just keep shaking itself to pieces warranty or not. But if I get it printing I can finish up the switch to Duet hardware and supported linear rails which should all but eliminate noise and vibrations. Have it "printi...

Re: nozzle size
(If you get the external g-code thing to work you should be able to slice for any layer height and nozzle size. There is one thread here that deals with making cura work with the backwards coordinate system TT use, and their "official" documentation shows how to set up Simplify3d)

Re: nozzle size
Same nozzles for all Tiertime products, but only 0.4mm is listed for spare parts for the Up Mini 2. No idea why.
